Tributes Paid to Mrs Janet Sheed Roberts
It is with great sadness that I tell you that Mrs. Janet Sheed Roberts (neé Gordon) died peacefully at her home near the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown over the Easter weekend.

A busy period of travel continued as I headed to the beautiful quarter of Neve Tzedek in Tel Aviv, Israel towards the end of last month to promote the Glenfiddich Age of Discovery Madeira Cask Finish and also host a Burns' Night dinner for selected guests later on in the week.
Don Ramsay, our longest serving cooper, began with us exactly one week after his 15th birthday on Christmas Day 1961. As Don's Manager, we had the pleasure of working and travelling together across the world, where he would showcase his coopering talents at whisky festivals in locations such as Washington, New York, Johannesburg and of course Scotland. I remember having many conversations with Don about wood and its importance in relation to the quality of whisky.
It has been a devastating start to the year for us all at the Distillery following the sad passing of one of our highly valued colleagues. Our heartfelt thoughts, condolences and sympathy are with his family and friends.
This month has given me a much lighter, more local travel schedule. On the 5th, I visited Paris for a reveal of the Glenfiddich 50 Year Old at the George V Hotel for media. This included a tasting of the 21, 30 and 40 Year Old before unveiling a bottle of Glenfiddich 50 Year Old for the hotel bar, which will sell at approximately 1000 euros per glass.
