A Whisky and Cigar Cocktail
What a busy month this has been! I flew to Montreal for a big event at the Queue de Cheval Restaurant where they purchased a bottle of Glenfiddich 50 Year Old. Fine cigars were made available for the 21, 30 and 40 Year Old whiskies that were also on offer, and as usual I joined in by drinking very old whisky and enjoying fine Cuban cigars – it’s a hard life!
Whilst in Canada, I also went to Toronto where I was invited to a lunch by John Maxwell, owner of Allens, a restaurant with a stunning whisky bar. John surprised us with an old bottle of Grant's whisky from the late 1930's, which he decided he would open in my honour! The whisky was absolutely fantastic. I can honestly say I have never been so spoiled and John was a brilliant host.
