INTRODUCTION

These are the rules for the Glenfiddich Spirit of Scotland Awards competition to win a two night stay for two at Meldrum House Hotel with a VIP visit to The Glenfiddich Distillery or one of ten runner-up prizes of a 70cl bottle of Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Single Malt.

WHAT IS THE PROMOTION?

  • The promotion is a prize draw to win the main prize and the runners-up prizes described below.

WHAT IS THE PRIZE?

  • The main prize is for one winner and one guest to receive two nights’ accommodation including breakfast and dinner in a double or twin room at Meldrum House Hotel in Old Meldrum and a VIP visit to The Glenfiddich Distillery in Speyside including lunch (Main Prize). Transport to the hotel is not included but return transport from the hotel to The Distillery will be provided. There is one Main Prize in total for the entire promotion. (the Main Prize).
  • There are ten additional runners-up prizes of 1 x 70cl bottle of Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky  (the Runners-Up Prize).

WHO CAN ENTER?

  • The Promotion is open to anyone who is a resident of the United Kingdom and is over the age of 18.
  • Employees of William Grant & Sons any company within the same group of companies as the promoter, their immediate families, their agents or anyone associated with the promotion are not allowed to enter.
  • The Main Prize winner’s guest must also comply with these rules.

HOW TO ENTER THE PROMOTION? 

  • To enter the promotion you are required to vote in the Spirit of Scotland Awards and complete the relevant personal/contact information by filling in the registration form found on the Glenfiddich website at http://www.glenfiddich.com/uk/explore/spirit-of-scotland (the Registration Form), and click submit.
  • The deadline for the receipt of Registration Forms for entry is 11pm on 9th November 2014. The promoter’s decision about whether an entry has been received in time will be final.
  • The winner of the Main Prize and the runner-up, who will each receive a Runners-Up Prize, will be drawn at random by an independent judge from the database of all entrants received before the closing date.
  • The draw will take place on 12th November 2014.
  • The Main Prize winner will be the first name drawn. The next ten names will each receive a Runners-Up Prize.
  • The winner and the runners-up will be notified by email before 5pm on 17th November 2014.
  • The winners must respond to this email within 21 days or he/she will be disqualified and another winner will be chosen.
  • This process will be repeated as often as necessary.
  • The name and regions of all winners will be available after the date of the draw by sending a stamped self-addressed addressed envelope detailing your request and the name of the Promotion to: William Grant & Sons, The Glenfiddich Distillery, Dufftown, Banffshire, AB55 4DH.
  • The winner and the guest and the runners-up may be required to participate in reasonable publicity connected with the promotion.

    SUBSTITUTION OF PRIZE OR RUNNERS-UP PRIZE

  • Substitution or transfer of the Main Prize by the winner or winner’s guest or the Runners-Up Prize by the runners-up is not permitted.
  • The Promoter has the right to substitute a Prize of similar or greater value, at its sole discretion.

  • No purchase is necessary to enter the promotion or claim the Main Prize.
  • Only one entry per person is allowed. 
  • Any third party entries, multiple entries or entries submitted by agents will not be accepted.

WHAT'S INCLUDED AND WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED IN THE MAIN PRIZE?

The Main Prize includes: 

  • Two nights’ accommodation including dinner, bed and breakfast in a double or twin room at Meldrum House Hotel in Old Meldrum for the winner and their guest and a VIP visit for the winner and their guest to the Glenfiddich Distillery in Speyside. including lunch for two in the Malt Barn restaurant. The accommodation dates and visit date must coincide. Return transport from the hotel to The Distillery is included.
  • The promoter will organise accommodation arrangements and return transport from the hotel to The Distillery. The trip date is subject to availability and must be booked 30 days in advance of the desired travel date.
  • Transport to the hotel is not included.
  • The Main Prize trip must be taken by the beginning of April 2015 and is subject to availability.
  • The promoter cannot be held responsible for any circumstances that may cause the winner/or winner’s guest to be unable to travel on the date of their booking.
  • The winner and their guest are responsible for all trip expenses not specified in these rules as being included such as travel to hotel, insurance, additional meals, drinks, gratuities etc.
