Malaga 1965. Now based in Barcelona, where he obtained a degree in fine arts. Luis has completed residencies in Rotterdam, Euskadi, Winchester and Valence as well as exhibiting in Germany, Japan, Peru, Brazil, France Portugal and the Netherlands. His interests are in work inspired by the space and the architectural environment of his surroundings. Bringing everyday things together in unseal ways to create something meaningful.
“When you travel far from your home, put some distance between you and the well known. Small things became so important because you see more differences between them and other apparently similar things, this makes you focus your own views about the world, that is something that Art is always trying to do, putting some doubts in your way of understanding the world. In our days where globalisation and migrations has a strong tendency towards homogenization, I feel the differences like treasures.
